I have enjoyed this journey very much and found it very helpful. It is clear and informative. Well explained and reinforces things you may have been thinking yourself. Stretches and relaxation meditations are brilliant.

The course has helped me to find even more ways to relax and overcome the pain. I also learnt a lot from the talks from the experts. It is also nice to have the meditation lessons to use. The final one in the series is brilliant it can be used for complete relaxation or to help with sleep. I have learned a lot more techniques to overcome my pain. I do physio and Tai Chi every day but have now added the stretches and exercises to my regime. It is well worth the extra time every day and is enjoyable. I have also discovered a new mind set to cope with my pain through going through this course to the end. It has definitely changed my life and I am sure that over the coming months I will get even less pain as all that I have learnt from this course works it’s wonders.

The course was informative and easy to follow. It felt like they were a group of people who genuinely understood what life is like for people trying to live and cope with pain. The advice makes sense. I am pleased I will have access to the online materials so I can try not to slip back into old ways of thinking. I know this will take a lot of time and practice and felt the team really understood this. Thank you to everyone involved.

I found Pathway through Pain to be a very useful resource. As a back pain sufferer for some 50 years, I have become very familiar with my pain and after many procedures, medications and manipulations have learnt to live with it to the best of my ability. A lot of what is covered in the course I was already aware of, and some of the exercises already using. Most beneficial to me were the guided meditations which have helped me slowdown and give time to myself. Thanks everyone. John.

I found the course to be a gentle, empathic support. It has been motivating and reminded me of my own power to 'self help'. The authoritative yet compassionate expert guidance has given me the motivation and support to become more active in improving my state; both mental and physical.

I have found the meditation videos particularly useful; they have helped me set aside some time for myself and relax more, put things in perspective and ultimately manage pain better. I would definitely recommend this course to others - there is certainly no downside to giving it a go.

I must admit I was a little sceptical about how much I would get out of this course, however I have been suprised. Although it is very early days I have seen some improvement with regards to my pain and the big help has been the relaxation and mindfulness parts of the course. It's allowed me to understand my pain much better and how to deal with it. I would like to thank everyone on the course for the insight and help and I will continue to implement as much as I can and hopefully return to having some form of enjoyment out of life.

Make sure you are as alert as possible each time you start a new step, in order to absorb and remember what you are being told in the videos. You can replay a video, but can't go back to it once you have moved on to the next step. I have found the course quite helpful particularly the meditation and exercises. I tried to reduce my meds without too much success. That's something I'd like to be able to do in the longer term. I still have pain, but it's easier to work through it. Doing this course in virtual lockdown and in the busy run up to Christmas was not the best time, because anxiety levels for me are higher during the pandemic and it was difficult to remember to log on to the course with all the distractions of Christmas. Overall, the course has been helpful and I'm glad I took part in it.

The pathway through pain is definitely worth participating in no matter what your circumstances or level of pain. You will probably already have tried or will be using some of the tools and techniques described but there is always the chance you'll find something new to try. The positive yet realistic approach of the specialists providing the course is great and helps you relate to them and encourages you to try what they suggest. Not everything will help or be useful but many things will be and if just one thing improves your quality of life and/or helps towards reducing your pain levels or coping strategies then it will have been worth it.

When I first heard about this course I was in some doubt that it would actually help. Surprisingly I am happy to say this course has been enlightening! I have thoroughly enjoyed the expert videos and the helpful tips. The course is easy to do and manage at ones own pace. I would highly recommend that others who suffer from chronic pain try the course as there is a lot of good advice and tips on how to try and improve your quality of life and to manage the pain better. The course also addresses the impact pain can have on one's mental health also, which is very helpful. I am glad I decided to take this step and will be sure to access the resources in the library online as a way to continue with pain management.
