Since the launch of Pathway through Pain in 2011, thousands of people from all walks of life have completed the course and reported outstanding levels of satisfaction, as well as significant health improvements.
The course is recognised as delivering all the elements of an intensive Pain Management Programme (PMP) in an effective, flexible online format. It's utilised by several health services in a variety of settings, from IAPT services and GP surgeries, to community and specialist pain services, all to good effect, and particularly addressing the problem where patients are unable to attend face-to-face sessions, or where there is no set chronic pain pathway! In research studies, Pathway through Pain has been shown to achieve outstanding patient feedback, significant improvements in health, and even reduced healthcare costs!
The key objective of the course is to help participants respond more effectively to pain, so it’s no longer in control and they can move forward with their lives. We recognise that pain affects state of mind as it does physical state; the course deals with that by using relaxation techniques to help better cope with the pain and show that there are ways and means to live a normal life again.
Pathway through Pain is run by Wellmind Media, a producer of evidence-based courses that help and empower participants..
71% of people who take the course say they find it helpful with only 3% finding it unhelpful.
