I have found this very useful and have felt the benefits fairly immediate. I will continue to reflect back on the library especially some of the relaxation meditation which has helped immensely. Thank you !

Although I was obviously hoping for a permanent fix with doctors and specialists, that sometimes is not always possible. So instead I now have to try and stay mentally strong and to and stay positive. I really don't think that would be possible without my prescribed pain medication, amytriptaline though because without that I know 100% that I would not be getting the sleep I need, which eventually catches up with you, which in turn makes it impossible to function properly every day. I do get down sometimes still because the pain is not only at night now it does effect my daily things, but i just have to realise there are people a lot worse off than me.

Generally good, but the course has failed before the end making it hard to finish it, or review topics

Future prospective participants should put any cynicism aside and listen to what the professionals have to say. The brain is a very powerful thing and it plays such a huge role in helping to overcome persistent pain as long as you let it. I have benefitted greatly from doing this course and it’s reminded me that I’m not having to do this on my own. Give it a good go.

This course has been very reassuring and has given me comfort, knowing that I am not alone in having chronic pain. I know that together we can get through each day with positive thinking, patience and the tool box that they have provided. I now have a future, just not the one that I was expecting. Thank you so so much.

I really appreciated doing this course. The meditation sections were very helpful, also I realised that pain relief drugs aren’t always helpful, though still have bad days when I do need to take something. Thank you very much for all the practical help with exercise too.

It's impossible to isolate the effects of pain with the effects of other serious medical issues and this has affected my answers! Moreover some of the pain I have could be cured if clinically safe enough to do so, contrary to that stated on the course. There has been nothing on this course that I haven't already independently explored, which is encouraging in one respect . Living with multiple pain issues, and multiple medical conditions which are frequently being added to (with further diagnoses ) is overwhelming (not depressing ).

I have found the course helpful. But did find that quite a lot of it related to back pain which I don't have.

The course is extremely good in giving aids to help support and strengthen mental understanding. It has helped to assist in relaxing and stop over thinking the worry of how I feel.

Enjoyed going through the course think it will help a lot of people, but due to my circumstance in my illness it wasn’t able to help me as much.

Didn't think it would help but it has. Made me re-evaluate my life. Made lots of positive changes and feel more able to cope with my pain and social events that I'd avoided before because of fear of a flare up.

Thanks to techniques learned on the course I have realized the importance of my attitude towards the pain, how changing the way I think about it can have a really positive effect. I haven't reached all my goals, but I am still on the journey. I'm not afraid of flare ups because I feel better equipped to deal with them.
