I found the course to be helpful in some of the suggestions. Unfortunately I feel my situation to be unchanged and it needs medical intervention. However, even after that I don't think my situation will be changed much. But, I will try to keep positive.

After a lot of thoughts while practising the stretches/meditations i find myself going through the 2nd ton bag of grain of sand.This course is designed for hypochondriac/liars which logicaly are so easy to treat/fool but when faced with genuine/real conditions that afflict true/accute pains day after day surely the pain unit clinic must have more real/affective working treatments . It also shows the little understanding nor the belief that you specialists have in your patients when told they truely in pain and that pain will not got away by simply twirling an imaginary grain of sand Seriuosly ? This is belittling demoralising and not aspiring.

I found the course to be very helpful but until I have my two knees and two hip operations I will not able to do part of stretching exercise, but I am glad I did the course because when I have had my surgery I will be able to use the course as soon as possible after it.

I started the course with some trepidation as I didn't know what to expect. Fortunately I have been pleasantly surprised at how well the course is laid out and easy to follow. I particularly liked the relaxation videos and use them on a daily basis. A lot of the techniques I have used in the past to help with pain as I am not able to use a lot of the pain relief available .

I have found this course to be very good especially around the meditation. I have progression in the disease with pain increasing daily whilst I await surgery. The meditation was and is brilliant as it helps you to relax and therefore reduce the pain levels. This has been the best course to help manage the pain. I have sent this to my home computer to enable me to have access anywhere I go. The course makes you think differently about the pain and it can be managed using various methods. I now go swimming and looking into yoga to help with relaxation. Just brilliant course loved it.

Since I started to experience a lot of pain over the last few years, I have become increasingly despondent about the path my life was taking. Through completing the course, I now have a sense of agency and can see that things that I chose to do (such as relaxation and mindfulness) can positively impact on my levels of pain and quality of life.

I have listened and watched this course and I have found some parts of benefit to me, especially the meditation piece. The physical exercises are mainly the same as my physiotherapist has given me in the past which I did before the course. The course is very helpful and it is helpful to know that I am not the only one with pain and mental health issues. Thank you.

I have found a lot of benefit in doing this course. Mentally I already feel better and thinking about my pain in a different way. I also enjoy the meditations. They are different ones I've tried before and I think these work a lot better. I have still a lot to work on the distraction techniques when I'm walking but I think I can see an improvement and managed to walk further than I have in ages. Thank you to all the hard-working staff who have put this together.

Thank you for helping A lot of the pain relief concentrated on back pain- so wasn't relevant. A lot of my problems are now due to the pain medication I take that stops the pain but creates problems of their own, so questions regarding the pain are irrelevant.

What I appreciate is that there is something out there to address those who suffer from pain. As pain is invisible, this course gives this issue a voice and acknowledgment. For me personally, it has not taught me anything new but I enjoyed the meditation videos. I haven’t found any of the techniques helpful, but I did try them. I certainly have taken a better approach to the way I think & have been kinder to myself - this was especially after several recent diagnosis’s which gave my pain a reason. Before that, I labelled myself useless and was frustrated all the time, now I understand why I hurt so much.
