I have found so many benefits from this course, however the self meditation I found difficult to do. Although I am retired I have a part time driving job which at the moment is more like a full time job working up to fifty hours a week. It is my choice of doing this and I do find that my pain increases with the hours I put in. I manage to do most of the exercise from the course which does help.
Was OK and took my mind of the pain
Some very interesting, thought provoking points raised.
My name is Ann and having completed the course have found it most rewarding. I will certainly continue with the exercises and meditation modules as they have been most beneficial. I also do a daily Tai Chi routine on my iPad and attend a weekly session run by U3A. I am glad to have done the course at home rather than with a group as it has been far better for concentration I feel. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
Very informative. Learned a lot. Already feeling more positive about the future.
I’m so glad that Ethel Hill recommended this course, it has made me feel happier and more positive about my health, not just my pain. The issues addressed were very relevant especially dealing with set backs and relaxation. I was convinced by the message that pain does not mean damage, despite what it feels like and in turn I realise that things I thought “true” about my future health are just thoughts.
I have found this course informative in giving me more of an understanding on coping with my situation. As I was able to do this course online, I was able to go at my pace without interruptions. I had done 4 lessons at the group course but found the group discussions almost depressing and for me, not helpful. The online course was much more suited to me and has helped me decide how to manage my life, along with determination to keep going and not give up the things I love doing. Thank you for this. The specialists who talked on the videos did so in a way that was easy to understand. Well done. I would recommend this course to anyone who is having persistent pain that is really impacting on their life. Thank you for helping me to understand that there is a life, a fulfilling life to be lived. Thank you again.
Thank you for giving me food for thought and very practical ways to help me change my attitude to pain management.
I am a physio assistant working in MSK and wanted to do your course to 1. Increase my knowledge of chronic pain, and 2. to experience for myself the course to know if it is appropriate to recommend to my patients. I have found the course very helpful and will be recommending to patients. Thank you.
The course has helped me to obtain a better appreciation of my problems and I shall continue to practise what I have learned. Many thanks to the experts who have contributed their skills and experience to guiding me along the "Pathway".
I found the information helpful, however apart from the breathing part I didn't feel much benefit.
I have found your course helpful, but it is a pity that it has coincided with my ankle problem, which has nothing to do with persistent pain as, although I have had no pain while in the boot, it and not persistent pain, has of course limited my mobility. But, living near the water, I have still been able to enjoy my kayak by wearing a waterproof boot leg and workman’s boot cover found on the internet. There is always a way! Thank you for the course. I will use your library while I am convalescing.
Very informative and in depth covering the aspects that chronic pain encompasses in day to day life.
Completing the course has made me feel more positive and optimistic at being able to manage my pain. I found the course easy to follow, and generally helpful and encouraging. I would recommend anyone who was given the opportunity to take part in the course to do so. Some of the information was already known to me, but it is good to have information repeated sometimes. I found the relaxation techniques particularly helpful.
This course was all I could do. My life has been turned upside down with pain.
The Mindfulness was good & I learned how to pace myself better.
I found the course helpful, and would recommend for others. Even if I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and scoliosis. I still have my backpain, some days more worse than other times. But the course very helpful.
Good course to get started helping yourself. Would recommend.
The positivity from this course has helped me to have the confidence to start the new year with a new job. I was always very careful in what I did because I believed that pain meant damage and now I am doing a lot more and working through the pain being careful to pace myself. Many thanks to the whole team for all the help you have given me.
Thank you! I have found all of the information and advice extremely helpful especially the guided meditations. I would highly recommended this course to anyone suffering from chronic pain.
